About Rebecca

Rebecca Rogers, LCSW, has spent over 15 years working as a psychotherapist with all ages. After receiving her graduate degree from New York University, she sought more in-depth training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Training Institute for Mental Health and relational psychotherapy at the Stephen A. Mitchell Center for Relational Studies. Rebecca has worked in schools, in college counseling centers, and in community mental health, where she began her work as a clinical supervisor. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Rebecca studied English literature and Drama as an undergraduate and spent the early part of her career teaching and working in the arts. While in graduate school, Rebecca developed an interest in meditation and yoga as healing modalities, eventually going on to become a certified yoga and meditation instructor. Participating widely in conferences about mind body medicine and the relationship between psychotherapy and meditation, Rebecca became immersed in trauma studies and went on to train in both EMDR and IFS. Rebecca is now a Level 3 Certified IFS therapist and an Approved IFS Clinical Consultant, splitting her time between maintaining her private practice and mentoring other therapists.
